In the fall of 2017 Hurricane Maria decimated the power grid in Puerto Rico. As a subcontractor to a US Government Prime Contractor and in support of FEMA, ACA Transported 261 Gensets and BOM to assist in this effort. Gensets were sourced from across the US and Canada and trucked to a port in Florida and then moved to the island by Ocean Liner. These movements occurred in an extremely difficult environment both operationally on island, with limited availability of resources on the mainland, and politically with the public nature of the problems facing Puerto Rico. ACA was able to manage these difficult circumstances meeting or exceeding the prime contractor and FEMA’s expectations for the operation.
