As the Coronavirus crisis extended beyond China’s borders and began significantly affecting the United States, ACA was contacted to rescue a group of American Citizens stranded in Honduras. ACA immediately provided charter aircraft options, with the client committing to a Boeing 737 option the next business day. Honduras had closed its borders to air traffic which presented serious challenges, as the flight was to operate 36 hours after commitment. ACA worked with the carrier, the client and their contacts, and the US Department of State to get the necessary traffic rights approvals, rescuing 140 citizens and flying them to Kansas City on March 25th. ACA’s experience and dedication are crucial during emergency operations with short timelines, and the company’s executives worked the issues around the clock to resolution for a successful mission.
